I left the corporate world after 15 years to have a more family-friendly schedule and have FUN while bringing in a great income! Of course, seven reward trips later I have to admit the PERKS are pretty nice too!

After 5 1/2 years with the #1 sterling company I decided to make a change - it was VERY tough. I LOVE the jewelry from my previous company and I made a lot of friends. But I could no longer offer the same opportunity to my new recruits that I had. Two years later, the smaller sterling company where I had been a representative closed their doors (March 2011) due primarily to the skyrocketing cost of sterling silver.

My customers, reps and hostesses have always told me "Lois, you know business and you know jewelry direct sales - you should start your OWN company!". I finally have taken their advice and I promise Silvergirl Sterling will bring you the coolest designs from around the world!

My Direct Sales Career

I was in direct sales for over seven years, and won Career Sales and Career Recruiter awards with the #1 direct sales sterling silver company. After seeking better team building opportunities with a smaller sterling company, I watched the price of sterling put them out of business. Now that I am own, I can select my favorite designs from artisans all over the globe to bring to you. Be sure to check out the online store, and think about trying a trunk show of your own!

How I Got Started...

I was on vacation in a sleepy little Mexican fishing village in 2002 with my husband when we met another American couple - the wife was wearing the coolest silver jewelry - I asked her where she got it. Turns out she was a rep with the company - she gave me a catalog to take home with me.

When we got back I found out that I would be laid off from my corporate finance job right around Christmas! After trying my hand at teaching P/T I was channel surfing one night and saw THOUSANDS of ladies buying sterling silver jewelry over the phone on QVC, I picked up that catalog again and made a call to my friend from the Mexican trip. I started my sterling silver business in June of 2003.
